Life with a high school baseball player

Life with muddy, dirty, grass stained baseball pants that end up tight mid season. “Mom, my pants are tight.” When I played softball, I lived in Mobile, Alabama where the infields were made of clay. I remember showering after practices and games, seeing red clay melting off of my skin and down the drain as I soaped and showered. Now, when I look at my kids’ bathtub, I see the brown dirt that my son brings home after tough wins, losses and practices. I trip over turf shoes, bat bags that sit in hallways….and yes, a tee that he brought out to a neighborhood field to get some reps with a friend. Wouldn’t trade it for the world. #highschoolbaseball #freshman #baseball
